I currently use three utilities on my computers and am thrilled with all three…and they’re free! They are:
Microsoft Security Essentials - Most of my friends are computer whizzes in some way shape or form, so I’m fortunate to get some really excellent advice. While I like to be as non-reliant on Microsoft as I can be within reason, Microsoft Security Essentials is really hard to beat. MalwareBytes - I always like to have a backup malware removal program to go along with my standard security program, and MalwareBytes is an excellent free program to find and remove the occasional malware that makes it through your security program. Crap Cleaner (C-Cleaner) - This is a great piece of freeware that removes temporary files, history, cookies, unused registry pieces like shared DLL’s, invalid shortcuts and other “crap” that slows down your computer. Click here to download it and view the video below to find out more:)
